0. Why do we photograph locomotives for textures:
Every locomotive is a story. This is someone's fate. Someone worked on it for many years, someone studied, someone burned, someone drove it. These are people, fates. When the locomotive is cut it all disappears without a trace. And we we reproduce them into 3D-models for railway simulators.
Real locomotives that real people worked on. So you are going to do a good deed, so go ahead!

1. The face of the locomotive - 1 frontal shot if it possible. Side of the first section - in 3-4 shots:
Intersection - 1 shote, side of the second section - 3 - 4 shots.

2. You need to shoot as smoothly as possible, without tilting or blocking the lens.

3. It is necessary that each part would occupy as much space as possible in the frame. For example, to make the subject occupy the maximum frame area. See pictures below.

5. To prevent photos from being blurry, use burst shooting, in other words, take double shots. If the camera does not have such a mode, then you can press the shutter button yourself several times. This is what this is for. Sometimes the weather is too cloudy or dark and the pictures are blurry. So that the pictures are not blurry, we photograph the front part of the locomotive several times. Of 3 or 5 blurry shots, there will usually be one shot - not blurry. This is what saves in the harsh conditions of photography. По дороге на дачу, заехал в Яхрому отснять "ретро-электричку" ЭР2-980. На текстурах имеется местами снег и наледь, но не сильная, думаю убираема. С подвагонкой сложнее, но тоже реально. Отсняты все вагоны состава с одной стороны, кроме хвоста от 1018.
