Is it a common practice to place high voltage lines on top of catenary pylons?
Those powerlines on the photo seem to be 123 and 245 kV or near that judging by the number of insulation units in strings. It's a rather strange sight for me as in Russia such HV lines are never placed on caternary pylons, furthermore powerline construction regulations recommend angles as close to 90 degrees as possible for HV powerline-caternary crossings to avoid harmful interferences.
